About Joel

Joel Elliott is one of the founders of the now-closed Strand Brewing Company of Torrance, California. Opened in 2009, Strand was one of the craft breweries that helped usher in the modern craft beer scene in the Los Angeles area. Joel was the creative force behind the brewery; designing, building, and brewing. He has begun to write about his experience in a series of articles for Beer Paper that will serve as a draft for the book.
